Elíades Ochoa

July
04

Cuban musician Elíades Ochoa will be one of the stars of the new edition of the festival, which will take place from July 1 to 8.

The +QueJazz festival “will be more than jazz than ever,” highlighting the blend of Cuban, Brazilian, flamenco, and jazz sounds that will take center stage at the festival, which will run from July 1 to 8.

One of this year’s highlights will be Elíades Ochoa. The Cuban musician, associated with the Buena Vista Social Club, will be one of the festival’s headliners. He will perform on July 4 at the Teatro Colón.

With the aim of “de-demonizing jazz,” the event will take over concert halls, the theater, and Plaza de Azcárraga.

Garufa will also debut on the 3rd with another legend, Carles Benavent, who worked with Paco de Lucía’s group for years. On the 5th, there will be a repeat performance at Garufa, this time with local band Turma Caipira and their Brazilian rhythms.
