Carmen at the Teatro Colón on January 25
Carmen is the show in which the Ballet of Cuba, Camagüey, presents a current Carmen, independent and sensual. In a version with music by Bizet and Radio Tarifa. Performed by a Company formed in the purest tradition of the Cuban School of Ballet created by the teacher F. Alonso.
It is an adaptation of the famous opera Carmen, with music by Georges Bizet and based on the novel Carmen by Prosper Mérimée. It was released in Paris, in March of 1875. More than a century after its premiere, this new proposal arises that aims to renew the work and adapt it to the present, moving away from the clichés and creating a current Carmen.
